MAGNUS LEROY JARRELL, JR.
Magnus LeRoy Jarrell, Jr. 88, died Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Hospice Savannah. Mr. Jarrell was born and raised in the Old Fort in Savannah. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving in WWII. He also served in the Georgia Air National Guard. Mr. Jarrell was past president of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, he was retired from American Cynanmide Company. He also was the former owner of Jarrell's Recycling Company. Mr. Jarrell loved to play golf and fish.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years Betty, his daughter, Cathy and his granddaughter Amanda.
Surviving are his children, Jo Ann Osteen, Gail Allen and husband Joey and Michael Jarrell and wife Melinda; grandchildren, William Jarrell, Billy Quick, Lisa Taylor, Randy Quick, Michael Yatro, Gina Watson, Kimberly Quick, Michael Jarrell, Christina Jarrell and several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 28, 2009 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel with burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
